STC Nursing Allied & Health
As Project Designer at ERO Architects, Edgar Villanueva collaborated on the design and delivery of this transformative healthcare education facility that establishes a new standard for clinical training in the Rio Grande Valley. The multi-story academic building combines state-of-the-art simulation laboratories, modern classrooms, and collaborative learning spaces within a bold contemporary form that reflects the innovation occurring inside.
The building’s distinctive massing features extensive curtain wall glazing that floods interior spaces with natural light while creating visual transparency between students and the community they will serve. Red brick on upper levels grounds the building in academic tradition while contrasting with sleek metal panels and floor-to-ceiling glass on the dramatic entrance tower. A welcoming ground-floor plaza with covered drop-off and landscaped gathering areas creates an accessible and inviting campus gateway.
This project was completed during Edgar Villanueva’s tenure as Project Manager at ERO Architects, who served as architect of record. Images shown may include new renderings created by Raine Architects to illustrate the project’s design character and scope.
