Andress High School
During his tenure as Project Designer at ERO Architects, Edgar Villanueva led the design development
for the Andress High School Performing Arts Center, a transformative addition that elevates the campus’s
cultural presence and celebrates student creativity. The project features a bold contemporary facade
with floor-to-ceiling curtain wall glazing revealing vibrant yellow “EAGLES” graphics within, creating
a beacon of school pride visible throughout the community. Dramatic angular volumes in charcoal brick
and white metal panels frame the transparent lobby, while warm interior lighting creates an inviting
atmosphere during evening performances.
The 26,000 SF facility houses state-of-the-art theater spaces, rehearsal rooms, music classrooms, and
flexible performance venues designed to support comprehensive fine arts programming. A welcoming plaza with outdoor seating and landscaped gathering areas extends the building’s function into the campus landscape, creating informal performance and social spaces. The accompanying 35,000 SF field house renovation completes the comprehensive campus transformation, providing modern athletic facilities that complement the new performing arts center.
This project was completed during Edgar Villanueva’s tenure as Project Designer at ERO Architects, who served as architect of record. Images shown may include new renderings created by Raine Architects to illustrate the project’s design character and scope.
