description:

The district also recognized the need to invest in athletic facilities and school buses while improving safety security measures on its campuses. ERO worked with the El Paso ISD to address these challenges. One significant project was the 1960s-era Andress High School. ERO’s designs called for the high school’s five main academic buildings to receive a new hydronic cooling system. The school’s grounds were landscaped to create a college campus feel. The school sits on a floodplain and construction plans were subject to FEMA requirement. ERO’s experience in working with government regulations was demonstrated at Andress with the construction of a 34,567 gross-square-foot field house and a 25,786 GSF performing arts center.
